IIPM is neither entitled to award MBA/BBA/BCA degree nor it is recognised by UGC
The Indian Institute of Planning and Management (IIPM), run by Arindam Chaudhuri, is not recognized by the government or any of India’s higher education bodies.
IIPM is not recognized by the ministry of human resource development (MHRD), UGC or the All-India Council for Technical Education (AICTE).
“IIPM is advertising its courses by using the name of UGC, MHRD and AICTE,” UGC vice-chairman Ved Prakash said. “It is indulging in cheating.”
M S University grants its degrees to IIPM students.
IIPM is authorized to offer two-year MBA and three-year BBA and BCA courses under technical collaboration in all its 18 centres, said S. Manickam, registrar of Tirunelveli-based Manomaniam Sundaranar (MS) University, in a letter enclosed by Saxena.
If IIPM is found in breach of law, Christopher said the council would inform the state government and let it decide if any action is to be taken.
The apex higher education body, in the notice, also said that “It is hereby informed to the public at large and students that IIPM, New Delhi, is not a University within the meaning of section 2(f) of the UGC Act, 1956.”
IIPM is not recognized by the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), UGC or the All-India Council for Technical Education (AICTE).
